My name is Amanda Fay and I take joy in living creatively.  If I can build it, I will.  And if I’m not sure how to build it, I’ll learn.  I have a background in fashion design and theater, but I’m also an animal loving gardening enthusiast who loves customizing my homestead in Las Vegas, NV.

This website is meant to serve as an online journal of sorts to document my creative projects and to share my experience as I learn and grow.  Living in the desert (zone 9), I face many challenges with our dry climate.  I will try things and fail.  But this is how I grow!  We must pick ourselves up from failures and try again…which is why documentation is so important.  So thank you again for joining me in my journey.

It is my hope that others will join me in living a more self-sufficient lifestyle once they see how easy it really is!  When you build it yourself, the rewards just taste that much sweeter 🙂
